SEVEN X
Unmatched precision, user friendliness, and versatility.
SEVEN X is SweBend’s CNC control for plate rolls and section benders. The operator enters a shape and its dimensions, and ADAM calculates the rolling program from them. When the material springs back differently, IRMA corrects the radius and stores the correction for the batch.

Precision bending, simplified
Material size, thickness, mechanical properties, spring back and diameter change the result of every bending job.
SEVEN X handles these variations in the control and gives the operator complete control over the rolling process. SweBend matches the number of CNC-controlled axes to your bending needs.
The graphical interface comes with templates that get operators into production quickly. SEVEN X also communicates with production robots and systems, and you can write your own sequences with logic based on input and output data from your machines. See how plate rolling and section bending work.

What SEVEN X does on the shop floor
IRMA, 4S, ADAM and the simulator are the four tools built into SEVEN X. SURE is a new add-on for PB4 plate rolls.
IRMA
IRMA is a radius adjustment tool. It corrects material deviations automatically and stores the adjustments for consistent batches, which improves precision and reduces scrap. One operator can manage multiple machines.
4S
4S reduces the flat ends in automatic mode with a short start and stop. It can save as much as 40% of the scrap compared with conventional automatic bending methods.
ADAM
ADAM calculates, plans and processes any shape you design. It handles multiple shapes, variations and materials in sequence with minimal setup time.
Simulations
The SEVEN X simulator calculates cycle times and runs programs in your chosen time scale. It gives you key data for workshop planning and time estimates as batch sizes grow.
SURE measures the plate inside the machine
SURE is a laser measuring unit that travels along the rolls of a PB4 plate roll on its own rail, and the plate stands still for every reading. Because the sensor never touches the plate, a reading adds no force to the bend. SEVEN X shows the readings and the proposed correction on the screen the operator already uses.
Schematic, not to scale.
Both plate edges give the width and show whether the plate lies in the centre.
The radius is read at one, two, five or more positions along the roll.
Side by side, the readings show whether the plate is bent more in the middle or at the ends.
SEVEN X proposes a correction, and the operator accepts or edits it before the machine continues.
SURE is offered as an option on the PB4 range. Radius accuracy depends on plate, material and target radius, and SweBend confirms it for your application.
Built on standard industrial parts
SEVEN X uses standardised components from large, well-known manufacturers, which keeps spare parts available for years.

Choose your version

SEVEN X is available in several versions to fit your machine and your bending.
Which SEVEN X version fits your machine depends on what you run. Ask, and we tell you which one and why.

Add functions as your work changes
SweBend keeps adding functions and adaptations to SEVEN X. Ask us for the latest additions.
A laser unit travels along the rolls, checks where the plate lies and reads its radius at the positions the operator chooses. SEVEN X proposes the correction, and the operator accepts or edits it.
From analog to CNC in three days
The mechanics of a machine often outlast its electrics many times over.
SEVEN X retrofits onto older machines, and you can expand it to integrate almost anything into the control of the machine. It also controls SweBend plate rolls and section benders, and our overhaul and upgrade service covers older machines.
SweBend specialises in integrated solutions for our customers’ processes. You are the final voice, so propose any feature you want and we will develop it.

A typical three day conversion
We test and verify the machine’s functions and read out data from the old system where possible. The existing electrical cabinet is rebuilt and the control panel is swapped for the new one.
We tune the software for the best speed and accuracy from the machine. Meanwhile your operators are trained in programming it.
Training is completed and we help the operators write some of the old programs into SEVEN X.
Have an older machine? Send the brand, model and year, and we tell you whether it can take SEVEN X.
Ask an engineer
An old CNC is not equipped to handle today’s demands, both in production rate and precision. We therefore created a graphic CNC system that can be retrofitted onto old machines. It’s easy to use and creates professional results.

Seven reasons to upgrade to SEVEN X
SEVEN X replaces the control of a rolling machine and leaves the mechanics in place.
Bluetooth control unit, customised for you
Control your machine’s functions from anywhere in the room.
The Bluetooth protocol handles 24 digital signals (directional signals), 2 analog signals and 4 position signals (digital readouts). The control unit adapts to almost any type of bending machine in the industry.
SweBend sets up the control according to your wishes, and you have the final say.

Tell us which machine you run and what you want it to do, and we will tell you what the upgrade involves and how long it takes. Reach us at sales@swebend.com or +46 70 970 51 60.
